
In early spring the Catskill mountain region has gorges that run through rainy forests that are carpeted with bright greens and slithering salamanders.


While exploring the woods around the Pocopson Creek with my two sons, my eye was drawn to the explosion of color displayed by a the contrast of fall colors on top of the shimmering blue water. This painting captured that, with the leaves appearing to be resting upon a vibrant blue.


My favorite time of year coincides with radiant purple carpeting emerging through dead, brown leaves and sticks. This painting captures the violet against the brown spring dirt.

Waking up on a cool, foggy November morning I emerged from my tent and was in awe of the majestic colors that were silently glowing all around me. My painting was intended to capture the stillness of the the creek and the air.

The great horned owl atop the peak of the barn roof was from my childhood memories of returning home at night and seeing it on my neighbors home. An owl symbolizes the ability to see the truth.

Longwood Gardens is known for it’s lavish gardens and fountains, however I was stunned by the beauty of the sunset out of the conservatory window. The stark lines of the window sill create contrast and enhance the glow of the sunset.
